- about "Offline News (and email) Questions". My reply is thus...
-
- Hi Russ,
-
-
- R'L> I was wondering if there's a good OFFline Usenet news reader (that will
- R'L> also let you queue up followups and replies) around for an AmiTCP SLIP
- R'L> connection? Thor seems like it might work, but I'd like something more
- R'L> akin to Legacy for BBX not to mention I like Voodoo for e-mail.
-
- Well, I use Thor and love it. It also supports all kinds of BBS message
- formats. I use a local BBS that uses QWK so I can have Internet News/Mail and
- QWK in the same package.
-
- R'L> Speaking of Voodoo, I recall that maybe a year ago, the creator of
- R'L> INet-Utils said there was a config option for STMPd that allowed the
- R'L> user to control how oftenit checks for queued up mail and sends it --
- R'L> anyone know what it is (waiting two minutes after I connect is annoying
- R'L> :)?
-
- setenv SMTPDelay <number-of-seconds-to-wait>
-
-
- R'L> Thanks in advance!!!
-
- You are welcome.
